Tank mates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had those as well and the were great for movement but then someone started eating them. 7" & 8" dels. I have blackskits in with those same dels now and sime larger polys too, started with 6 and down to 3 the three that are left are long fin and full grown. I think the long fins with the odd shape keeps them safe. They are no way fast enough to evade the polys. I just think they look bigger then they are to the polys.
Seems like silverdollars are the best/safest/only(?) option for non-senegal dithers

Would larger Angel fish also work? Something I have been considering instead of my silver dollars to add a bit more colour to the tank.

I also have 1 flagtail (prochilodus) and 1 chalceus. I'm really considering adding a few more of both because I like them as much.

good that opens up alot of choices because of their small size. Is there any color or pattern you like? What price range are you looking to be in?

I was looking into a dwarf giraffe catfish would that work out?
I and for the higher level fish I don’t really have a preference, just something that isn’t a dark color and not over $50

green or blue phantoms would work so would a royal. You could do a super red bristlenose. The L137 Bruno pleco is one of my favorites. The L264 Sultan or L160 spiny monster are neat meat eaters

I'd think angels would be good as would discus if you are into those.

Never really been into Discus seem like they are very fussy about water conditions (although I currently do two water changes per week) and hide alot. I think Angels will work once large enough due to their weird shape should it should deter the polys from turning them into a snack.
