Oh im not ever going to down extra filtration on an oscar tank lol. I'm just saying the ammount of filtration should have no influence over your water change schedual.

I'd go atleast a 125gal. You'll more then likely have agression trouble in a 90. 90-125 isn't much of a bio-load difference, but the fish will appreciate the extra 2feet!

I've got 2 10" Oscars in a 75 gallon tank, along with a 5" rose queen. Filtration is an AC 110 and an Eheim 2217. I do weekly water change of about 40% and that keeps the water parameters in check. There's no aggression among the 3 of them, however the rose queen it's only a temp home.

So in my experience as long as they get along and you keep an eye on your water parameters you should be fine with a 90 gallon tank.

When you say the water parameters are in check... can you define that numerically? What are your nitrates?

A 55 gallon is only 12 inch's wide on 13. I just went and measured mine before posting if you don't measure the thickness of the glass like from the inside of the back glass and the inside of the front glass is 12 inch's.

There are two "models" of the 55g tank, made by two different companies, one is 12'' wide and the other is 13''.
