Ok well I stand corrected. Tbh, I haven't even tried feeding him with the lights on in a while because of how flighty he was about his feeding. Today I threw some rosies in and didn't turn off the lights. He absolutely SMASHED five rosies right in front of me! I'm a proud papa lol. He's so full he looks like he has some sort of wierd tumor lol. Next time I'll have the camera ready!

Hahahaha, I know what you mean about the tumor. Mine has his stomach so full you can't see his stripes past his belly. They go right up to his belly bulge and then its just bright silver lol. That's great he's eating in front of you now. So much more fun to watch when they're confident.
He's eating well, he just ate 8 guppies in 3 minutes last night in front of me. His belly is HUGE right now! Here's a couple pics from a few days ago, he's put on some size and a little color, too. This little guy is so awesome, I'm glad I picked him up.
Here's a pic of his L191 Royal Pleco tankmate (kind of dark, but you get the idea), and another pic I just took of my 5-5.5" elongatus in the tank next to the ATF (angry bastard).
Thanks! His color is starting to show, I even see the red starting to come in on his caudal/tail fin a lot more than before. I'm excited to see what he looks like in a couple months time.

Couple more pics to show the color difference from arrival day to today. He's getting almost a bronze/gunmetal color to him all over, with red on the lower caudal fin (*edit: just noticed after posting - hard to see that on these pictures, but in person there is a noticeable difference in color in the top and lower lobes of his caudal fin - top is a bronze color and bottom is a deep red). I can finally see his teeth lol!! I'd say he's grown about 1/2 an inch so far. Probably 3.25" total now, hard to say exactly since he doesn't stay still for very long.

Also, forgot to mention, did you notice the itty bitty baby hooks forming on his tail? More so on that top pic, but it's fairly noticeable in person. Should be awesome once he gets bigger.

I'll have to get some pics of mine soon. I just moved him over into a spare 55 gallon that I had laying around. He actually doesn't seem to like it. :/ Oh well. He'll get over it. I'm gonna get some dithers and work on breaking him seriously this week.
