The yelling comment is due to your excessive use of exclamation marks. While not as bad as caps it does appear that you are yelling, this one is my opinion, so take that as you will.
And once again, I do not claim to know everything, far from it in fact. This just happens to be something I know a great deal about. Just because most people do not believe what I have to say that does not make me wrong, the majority has been wrong before. Just because I am the only one in this post standing up for what I have to say does not make you correct. I have had people pm me on my side, most don't wish to comment because you attack and insult whoever disagrees with you. I can't blame them for not posting.
How many times do I need to give you proof? I show you a tank manufacturer, arguably one that makes some of the nicest tanks out there, that does not use silicone in the corners. Their tanks are beautiful and have small seams, about an eigth of an inch like they should be. And guess what? They hold just fine, no leaks, no blow outs. They are rimless to boot.
And the video would be for you, you are the only one asking to see it as I have posted several other sources of proof backing up my claim, much more than you can say. You just yell your incorrect opinion at people. It sure as heck isn't for me, I know the physics behind aquarium building, I know it will hold.
I will not be building a tank for you. I'm sure you are going to go against your promise to not comment to me anymore and say that I'm afraid or that I'm lying or something else, which is completely wrong. My reason is I don't have the space or materials. I'm living in a two bedroom apartment at the moment with two tanks tanks, one is for sale and one is a nice rimless tank, not a chance I'm going to cut apart either just to prove you wrong, though it would be great to see you flood your house.
And for the record, 1/2" of silicone between the glass would have no purpose and actually make the tank less stable. An eighth of an inch is plenty sufficient.
I'm getting really tired of arguing with you and your yelling. I've provided proof, you have not. Come back when you have some links supporting your side or please stick to your promise.
