bare minium 55, i have mine in a 40 but he is still pretty young he is only like 5 inches so he is definaly fine

How? as long as you are at zero nitrites and ammonia and do regular water changes isn't that enough?

yea, how is over-filtration going to do anymore than adequate filtration?

75g should be the minimum sized final destination for a male midas.

add a couple more filters,... he might turn purple lol
