what is the minimum requirement to keep 2 6-12" & 2 13-24" aros? and estimated time you can keep them in that size tank until they grow out of it?

Not sure what your asking, do you have 4 arowana and you are keeping them together?

Silver aro grow at about a rate of 1-1.5 inches per month on average. They will keep up this rapid growth rate to around 24-25", Again this is average some may slow at 21-22" and some may grow to 27-28". Once they reach that point their growth will slow to 1-2" per year.

I have 2 silver aro that are nearing 30" they are in a 450g tank and have only been growing a little over an inch per year for the last 3 years or so.

Bderick67 8x3x2 is a 360 gallon.

You are correct, my mistake. I generally recommend a 8'x30"x2', 300g tank as the minimum for an adult silver. That tank would definitely support a single silver up to 32" long, but 36" probably not. Still some speculation whether or not captive silvers will reach 36".

The size is very important but the main thing is that the tank is wide enough! 2 feet in width or larger and the rest of the tanks dimensions will fall into place.

I thought the Jardini needed more turning room than the silver??

Probably does, but turning room is not an issue in a tank that is of proper size. If you are just providing a tank wide enough for turning room then the tank will be too narrow.

I'm planing my new tank for 2 x Black Arowana:

10' x 4' x 3'... and I'm still not sure that this will be enough for 2 x 48" fish !

will i be able to keep around 4-6 adults in a custom built tank thats 7' x 3.5' x 4' ? ( LxWxH)
