thanks everyone, the camera my friend used is a canon 40D, and yeah i will look through and see if i have any other pics of my bichirs, that one is the largest one at like 7.5in and then the next largest one is about 6in and the last has barely grown since ive gotten it for some reason and is still only like 3.5-4in and i got them all at the same time
Sarah, you have some very nice fish in there! I can't wait to see them when they grow up a little more. How big are they now?

Very nice indeed! So that barred lookin midas is a creamsicle? Do they all look like that before they "peel" I am off to look for midas tomorrow, and I want to know what to look for if I find one. Beautiful fish Sarah!
