Correct on bb. I use baking soda to raise mine, works great & cheap. A lot of other people here use it.

How big is the tank? I usually add a table spoon every hour, the tank size determines how much, and test as I go till I reach the PH I'm looking for.

have you been cleaning your tank at all in that time??? I'd highly advice you to not do any water changes to let the bacteria have a chance to grow. A lot of people will vacuum their substrate which actually takes a lot of bb out of the tank.
You could drop a piece of limestone in. It'll really boost the alkalinity and pH without hurting anything.
I only vacuumed when a cottony growth was happening but wasn't vacuuming far into the substrate only the surface. And I did add API quick start as well as media from my old filter.

Limestone as said above might work but a long-lasting solution (with more stability than having to add baking soda every WC) would be crushed coral.
