Dear Mr. Pleco,
Please get rid of all of your fish. I think it is plain to see a person such as yourself has no business owning fish. I demand you give me your 280, the 3 150's and all of the smaller tanks you have in your fushroom.

90g is fine for your initial growout. You are going to want to move him to a 6' tank that is 24" wide if you plan to keep him long term as a wet pet. Lots of people will say you need a much larger tank which would be nice but is certainly not required. He's also not likely to get near 30" and will top out around 20" or so like most in captivity do.

No to tank mates. Most will just kill plecos and other catfish.

Please don't belittle others claims in the hopes of furthering your point, especially when the sizes you use are purposely under estimated. Now while I won't say that the male and female are definitely 30" and 24" but I think it's obvious they're bigger then 18" and 9". I'm sure you can think of better ways to prove your point then dragging someone else's(who hasn't even posted in this thread) reputation and fish through the mud by stating the fish sizes they gave are false.

Please don't belittle yourself by speaking nonsense, watch the video yourself then you can say something. Thus If you had you would not have replied to me because I always come correct when speaking on the internet, I don't need facts to sway my opinion. He even says in the video it's like ten inches cus she doesn't grow due to constant spawning my point is they are not the size stated, I never said anything all I stated was they aren't that big wow jump on me for stating the truth pitiful, now if he wants to keep his fish in whatever size tank he wants it's fine it's his money his life his tank all you can do is state your opinion and he will take it as he sees fit. Experience is the greatest educator it just comes after the fact.

OK you'd have to tear them down tho, and take the Jardini in the 30 cube and the Umbee in the 75...  BTW moved Elvis to one of the 125's last night  hope somebody buys those 125 tanks soon would like to get them upgraded..

Please don't take this as being cruel or anything. I just feel that in my 20+ years of fishkeeping that a 200+ gallon tank is just plain nuts for housing one fish!? I've had Jags, Devils, Salvinis, Convicts, even a Flowerhorn. I too have had multiple tanks going at once and still do, I just feel a 90 g. is good enough for a 9" Dovii for now, maybe a 120 when full 20" tank raised grown. If he gets bigger than that?? I'll deal with it how I see fit.

Have you ever seen a 30" Dovii? I have they are huge. A 300 isn't enough. Their aggression rivals most things I've ever seen. They are down right nasty. Tell you what, buy some F1 festea and some F1 salvini and some of whatever you want to waste money on because at some point that Dovii will kill them all. And when he does you can think to yourself quietly. DANG.... Those guys on mfk were right.....

First me asking you to please not underestimate size on purpose to prove a point is hardly jumping on you nor is it offensive. I had no idea you where so sensitive that it would elicit you insulting my post by calling it nonsense and calling me pitiful. I was merely trying to stop the thread from degrading. Which if you can't see how calling another members claimed fish sizes out might cause it to degrade, I don't know how to better explain my intention. Still I decided to do as you suggest and watch the video. I had watched the video in the past but I wasn't positive about the sizes, though I thought I remembered them being larger then you said.

Upon watching the video I saw a male who appeared to eclipse 20 inches easily and a female around 12 inches and then it was stated in the video the male is 24 inches and the female 12 inches. Which means if the claim is incorrect it's by a lot smaller amount then the 6 and 3 inches difference your statement claims. Which means you didn't as you put it "come correct" in my opinion. Now if you like you could start a thread and ask people what size they think the fish in the video is and if the majority say that it looks to be between 15-18 inches I will concede my error. I'm willing to take a chance on being proven wrong.

Now I could go back and forth with you and try to degrade your statements as you did mine, but I won't. Instead I'll simply continue to do what my original intention was, prevent TOS violations. As such I will let you know that calling someones statements nonsense and pitiful can be considered rude/offensive, rude/offensive posts violate TOS. So if you still want to debate to prove my statement wrong please do but choose your words more carefully when trying to prove the point. I managed to so without insult, so if you deserve the credit I'm giving you, I'm sure you can as well.
