I wouldn't put any other cichlids in with it, even at a smaller size. I would do some rainbows for dithers and a bushy nose pleco.

Agreed. With other cichlids in the tank, there's gonna be some serious territory issues.

i agree also in that size aq. and he,s already made the total aq. his domain, so if you wanne try something i advise no cichlids for sure with a midas

I have mine in a 55 with 5 silver dollars and a pictus cat, working really well right now.

id go with the convicts or a firemouth, my gt is in with my two red bay snooks rite now and there very peaceful.

I have a convict, FM and a senegal bichir with mine in a 55.

You could keep a few other cichlids with it for a while, but once it gets good sized I would leave it alone except maybe a pleco and a few dithers.
