Tankmates for a gt, jd, & a firemouth?

Get the tank then the fish. Right now stick with those 3 til you get your 200+ A 240s dimensions are perfect set up for cichlids community. When you do get the 240 stick with mid level aggr. fish-no hybrids or anything like a Dovii. Here are some suggestions:
Male Con, Salvini, Cuban, Kraussi, Oscar, Carpinite to name a few.
Id add about 2-3 more. Might reconsider keeping the FM and having the JD GT with 3 of the above mentioned.

Why not-JD, GT, Male Con, Salvini, and Cuban-along with some SDs! Set up would look sweet in a 240 gallon tank.

Your JD, GT, and FM should be fine in the 75 gal. It all depends on how big they get. If your Terror only grows to be 6-8" and your Jack is of a similar size. You 75 should be more than enough. Do you have males or females or one of each? Females won't grow to be as big as males and not all fish will grow to max size.

Unless your GT and JD both grow to be monsters they should be fine in your tank, but I wouldn't add anymore than the 3 you already have.

How do so many people know what makes a fish happy? I seem to fall somewhere in the middle on most of the posts here when it comes to stocking. I wouldn't add another fish to the 75, but to suggest that these fish in there now will outgrow the tank in a few months is something I strongly disagree with.

Nice pick up-skip the Africans-yuck! Keep the JD and GT get ride of the FM and get male-Con, Salvini, and Cuban-along with a school of Sivler Dollars! Would be nice. Let me know if you need some help on what to put where.
