If you want to add a GT or another fish to shift the balance go for it. I would make sure to change the structure around in the tank and even add some more so there are plenty of spots for the fish. Make sure the pike has some pvc or a tube it can go in to. Put the rock or cave that the salxfm is using to lay eggs on one end of the tank. Aggression will probably still remain with the salxfm trying to breed though. Maybe drop the temp in the tank closer to 70 if you have it up closer to 80.

Contrary to other people's beliefs i disagree with the problem being a too small tank.
Typically, the more fish in a small container, the less aggression.
Both salvini's and firemouthe's are very aggressive species, and now you have 2x in 1.
There will always be a dominant fish in any tank setup, and usually the dominant fish will push around the subdominant species, which is normal. However, a problem occurs when the dominant fish is OVERLY aggressive.
I'm assuming your "red head severum" is a rotkeil - and if so, it is obvious, just like with any other severum versus a salvini or firemouth, they will get pushed around and bullied.
Typically, the more fish in a small container, the less aggression.

I agree with this person a red devil will solve your problems but it my do harm to your other fish too. If you can I would try upgrading to a bigger a tank, and see if that helps your problem. If you don't wont to spend the money go red devil. loly2shanon;4050666; said:
