Tankmates for Bichir

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I said that they CAN get up to that size but's very uncommon. And just because some one has a monster fish doesn't keen that they have to be on MFK. Just because you haven't seen or heard of such a size doesn't meen it's not out there...... but lets get back onto the topic.......

Well, I have a delhezi bichir. I returned the shubunkin goldfish and the blue gourami because my friend said that the goldfish would be too much of a pollutant to my delhezi. I returned the blue gourami, because he was nibbling on the shubunkin and trying to do the same with my bichir and goby. In exchange, I got 2 cichlids (i think one convict and one jewel), 2 golden panda mollies, and two hatchetfish. One of my mollies already went missing >: ( and i think my goby ate her, because he's fatter than usual right now...I'm worried for the rest of them, but the guy I got them from said that they'd be fine until the goby grew up and now i can see why. What should I do? I told my mom that we needed to upgrade soon, so they don't stay in such close quaters to each other...what size tank should I try and get? Thanks for reading too, this really helps!

Don't get any tank mates until you upgrade, the delhizi should quickly outgrow a 10g, and depending on the species of goby, he might too. I suggest taking the cichlids back... ASAP. They are aggressive and will just cause problems. For a delhizi, 55g is a minimum, 75g much better. Post pictures of the goby for ID.

Missed this one ><" Ah, it's not rude at all really! I've been reading up while getting advice from my friends, it's just I'm new to this so my friend told me to post everything I do to get from more than just his opinion :) and I like the feedback, it's reassuring to know that I'm on the right track :D

For those who wanted pics of the Goby, here's my best one with my other attempts at good pics of its tankmates

Havent seen or heard doeant means its not out there? I would say dehelzi can grow up to size of a great white shark, thn its true also? As you said 'havent seem or heard'.
Its so obviois that delhezi cant get to that size. No1 in this earth has seen before a 18inch delhezi for your information, sir. Attach ur so call '18 inch delhezi' on this thread if it ever exist. Please be objective.

Even the largest delhezi owner in mfk din even reach 14 inch. Neither a wc or cb ones will reach that size. No one hav ever seen a del 17inch. Is it a joke huh?

both 14.5" delhezi both wc
