tankmates update..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey btw, the New Bruanfels Snake Farm isnt that great. They have a heck of a lot of snakes though. Did you see the episode of Dirty Jobs? I've been there before, and besides sheer amounts of animals, it wasnt as impressive as I'd hoped.

whats the new bruanfels snake farm?

It is the ranch that overdramaized their reptiles for the Dirty Jobs show.

They made boa constrictors look like mean, man-eating snakes. :(

Boa's... man eating snakes? LMAO.

Could a boa even fit a human in its belly even if it was magically planted there without exploding?

Not a Boa constrictor. Maybe a big anaconda and an infant human. But I think it would rather eat a capybara.

dude... don't talk about the NBSF like that.. they didn't over-dramatize ANYTHING. those reticulated pythons they have are HUGE.. HUGE!!!!

You name one place that you know of that you can walk in and see reticulated pythons, ball pythons, albino bigass python that you can hold.. a pit with a crapload of rattlesnakes, alligators, baboons.. ...GABOON VIPERS... Dirty Jobs didn't make boas look like man eaters.. y'all just take that crap WAY TOO SERIOUSLY..... DJ always makes a big joke out of stuff so Mike Rowe can look at the camera with some expression that makes you laugh..

"..eh.. I wasn't that impressed.." ....WHATEVER MAN.. I think you saw the building and how the place looks a little antiquated and shrugged it off because it wasn't all clean and shiny and plastered with neon and places to plug in your iPod..;) ...admittedly it IS a dump (LOL) .,.but C'MON!!!! didn't you want to push your girlfriend into the rattlesnake pit? :D hahahaha

elevatethis I really don't care what you say.. my vet told me it's cool, my friend who's raised exotic animals for the past 20 years said it's cool.. ..the dude at the snake farm told me it's a GOOD IDEA...

you should seriously take into consideration that people don't want your advice some of the time. you'll go a lot farther in life that way.

....now... to comment AGAIN on my snakes...

the female doesn't "roam a lot" ...she just doesn't stay in her frickin cave 23/7....
problems with feeding? no. they both take down 2 mice a sitting... Where are they fed??? oh yeah.. outside the tank in their own tubs. duh. that's the only thing you really gotta do.. make the habitat big enough, and feed them in separate places.

what's the problem? like I said they're not BETTA FISH... GEEZUS PEOPLE?!?!!

In the wild, their habitat is big enough for them not to have to spend all day together.

synapse989, joke or not, people actually thought boas are dangerous because of the way they treated them in that episode. That is why everyone is so uptight, because they made snakes look more dangerous than they really are just because of the way they grab them and move them around -- and not to mention what they done to Mike Rowe and his reaction to everything.

Good place, but unprofessional. We don't need bad stigma for the hobby by someone in the hobby. You will be hardpress to find a major reptile forum that liked the episode anyway.
