Tankmates with JARDINI (READ!!!)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wkd that just backs up what i was thinkin. Il keep a close eye, n move tha jar as and wen, 4 now i have a 3'spare tank, ready but little space to put it. Thanks

ive previously had a jar that was about 4.5 inches. The tenants were a oscar and a flowerhorn, they were both bigger than him. For the first month the flowerhorn would chase my jar all the time but would never catch him cuz hes too fast. BUT wen i came bak from skool in the afternoon, i found my jar dead with missing eyes, mouth and stomach. I was so upset, my jar died and was eaten by the flowerhorn and oscar. Sumtimes things can turn the other way around wen ur Jar starts gettin aggressive with tankmates that r bigger than himself. He was my first Jar, it was a great loss for me. :( :(

My Jardini has almost killed everything introduced into the tank with him.
He tries to attack the cat that sleeps on top of his tank, too!

jardini works well with australian bass some large bronze goldfish and large pleco's. seen it work.

my aros have always been much to aggressive when they get over 15inches the only thing my arro tolerated was plecos that was it

aggression, big sized killer that whats what i like about MonsterFishKeepers!:headbang2
haha i just picked up a 3"jardini few hours ago cute little monster,no aggression yet.:D

:FIREdevil ^ MONSTER AGGRESSION ^:FIREdevil

Do you think a GG, EBJD, and a RTC are compatible tankmates with a Jardini? I plan on putting them in a 96 x 36 x 36 tank. Currently the GG is almost 6", RTC is 7", Jardini 4", and EBJD 2" (it's in a nursery till it atleast does not fit in the Jardini's mouth).

The Ebjd will never be able to go with those. The jar will out grow it. That rtc is gonna be able to eat the jar in about 6 months.

Just re-introduced my LMB after a week so that the Jardini can establish himself. As soon as I put the LMB in the tank the Jar went after him (the LMB is much bulkier by the way). The Jar started flairing his fins and puffed up his gills and turned to a darker color. The Jar even tried to stand up to the GG, but the GG just wouldn't have it. Hopefully now things will be even. Previously when I introduced the Jar, the LMB would chase him around the tank relentlessly. Will be keeping a close eye on the two.
