hi.. i have a 50 cm jardini. he have been going with 2 p.ornatipinis, 2 large plecos, 1 large synodontis, 2 c.micropeltes, 1 large clarias and som other large fishes for one year now. he is not picking on them at all. but yeahhh,. i know its a risky setup. but they are all going to diferent tanks soon.

my jardini has ben fed pellets since it was 4inch and is not agressive at all i had gars clown loaches i have him wiyh 3 bichirs and there just fine so i guess feefing live food makes a diffrence

hey now.. you should know that pitbulls are naturally extremely sweet dogs... it's only through horrible ownership and "training" that their strength is exploited.

....it's dobermans that snap and rip out your carotid...

so... any word on the temperament of ALL the arowana breeds? I have a silver and I'm kinda curious it it's gonna be mean or not. I heard they're pretty mellow. ..but that's just hearsay at the moment... :P

This is exactly what I wanted to say.. only ignorant people think that pit bulls are vicious... hahaha.. I had one guy who was contemplating buying a pit bull.. and he told me that he didn't know if he should because it all depends on their bloodline.. because they might turn on you... hahaha.. my Welsh Corgi would be the first to turn on me.. my pit would probably protect me if anything..

Pit Bulls will do whatever they are told and do it to the point of death.. they will die for their owners.

Okay, off topic.. but I have my Jardini with a Flowerhorn fry about 1 1/2" and a small BP, about 2".. my Jar is about 5 inches.. they're getting along fine for now.

And yes, Silvers are known to be very laxed...

Hi,
I bought 2 3 inch jardinis on da 7th of september and put dem in mi 47 gallon tank, dey started fighting and ripping each others tails out after a week, i ignored it for another week and den put a partition in the tank cuz dey didn stop fightin. i put da tetra general tonic in da water, i put 4 caps den aftr 4 days i put another 4 caps. deir tails r showin virtualli no improvement at all. i started feeding them bloodworms b4 i put da partition, for da 1st week since i got em fed em 30 guppies (10 evry 3 days, dey kept finishin eatin em rlly fast). bout 2 wks bak i strtd feedin em mince chicken and prawns. i tink its causin algae to grow in mi tank. bi da way mi tank has da filter dat comes inbuilt and a tetratec EX600 workin continuousli. cuz i put 1 albino suckerfish on each side of da tank and da more agressive jardini killed 1 of em (suckerfish were small, it was mi bad, but dey got along for a week), (arowanas r so docile now dat i cnt even measure em thru da glass and dere r plants, a lava rock and some coral in da tank also. Da arowanas were also kept together in da shop w/o a prob so i thought it would be alrite 2 keep it like dat in mi house. Cn sum1 plz temme whn i shud remove da partition? and cn i hav some suggestions on tankmates for dese guys?

Glad to find this thread! I took all the African Cichlids out of my 60" x 16" x 24" tank to build a co2 injected Jar tank. There's 2 lace catfish (6-8"), 2 sailfin plecos (7") and a common pleco (6") living with the 6" baby jar. It's been really interesting to see the results! The sailfins and lace cats have become much more interesting in the presence of a predetor, having become the aggressive nocturnal scavengers they are supposed to be. The common is not doing as well and keeps getting nipped at by the jar. I want to remove him before there is a casualty.

I don't know if this will work in the long run, but I'll give it a shot. I'm trying to give the cats an advantage by planting lots of leafy swords and other plants to make the bottom 1/3 of the tank an absolute jungle. From there nature will take its course!

Sell them all, get a bigger tank, then buy one single specimen and grow it up in the larger tank. At least 180 gallons.

Also learn to type in english. You will get more replys that way.
