In my single days, I had a 180 reef, a 100 with fish and a Hawaiian Dragon moray, and a 100 with an octopus, all plumbed into a filter in a storage closet. Closet was vented outside, so no noise, heat, or humidity. Perfect setup, but marriage killed that.

I have a couple pics of the reef, and the octopus, and maybe a video around somewhere, but nothing of the whole setup. That was 25 years ago, so the piles they are under are deep. :-D I'm still using most of the filter and 2 of the tanks. The biological is a 4' tall 12" plexi tube filled with bioballs. I injected ozone into an Oceanic protein skimmer, and vented the chiller unit outside with a furnace fan. The sump was a 60 long with 4 compartments. The first had a tower with filter pad, then sponge, then heaters, then the protein skimmer. The 2 side tanks had media and sponge in the overflows, and ran straight to the sump. Simple and effective. Ran like that for 10 years.
