Tanning My SR ... Before and After (as requested)

Wow big improvement. And this wouldn't of happened at this rate without the lights on huh? Is it actually good for the fish (well at least no negative effects). Made any difference on the green?

wow that tanning did wonders, looks amazing, but his fins look a little chewed up, hopefully the green will stop being a bully

Impressive, that really lifted the color, it looks great. I'm with ya , I hate watching these fish fight, its good they are hardy and heal fast. Anyways, job well done!

just curious...did you see a JUMP in your electricity bill during your tanning period???

Yeah still going to SD ... Chinese New Year break. My electricity bill is quite high already cos I have a planted tank, but there may have been a jump..

The jar is actually the least aggressive of the three aros ... and doesn't bother any other the other fish unless they wanna pick a fight with him.

I had a tiger oscar that I gave away some months ago. It was always chasing the jar, but sometimes the jar would get angry and then the oscar would loose half it's skin...
