ThanksFat Homer
I was told at the lfs that it's not brackish but fresh water
I'm just worried that one of my fish don't bite it and die? I had a green spotted puffer years back that jaguar cichlid bit and they both died just hope this won't be the case
Where is that?
I'd say get him his own tank or take him back
So would I be safe keeping him in my tank for now?Puffers will puff when stressed, so maybe the puffer choked the other fish to death...
Since i've read something about them only being able to produce their toxins based
on certain diets in nature..,
I'm sure it was raised in captivity...Depends on how you define safe???
I mean if another fish eats him there will always be a chance the other fish + the puffer will die...
Try imaging if you had to swallow a fully inflated ballon, it wont be long till it blocks your airways...
But as far as the poisoning goes, i guess it would depend how long the fish has been in captivity as to how much poison might be in its system?
Ok thanks buddy will wait and seeIts probably free of any toxins but even then keep in mind these guys still have sharp teeth which can do some damage if they want to...
Just give it time. Fish sometimes sulk after movesHey guys so I moved the puffer out my main tank because I woke up in the morning and my Aro's fins were all nipped
His in his own tank now but just lays on the floor all the time and doesn't eat?
Is there any fish I can put with him to get him swimming?
What food would be best to give him too start eating? I did try shrimp and pellets
