I love your tanzaniae man. He's got the wild look to him. It seems like a lot of captive TATF color up just like a vittatus but yours hasn't. I prefer the way yours looks, when I get my tatf I'd rather it look like the wild ones. I wonder what is the catalyst that makes some color up vividly and others stay silvery like the wild ones?

I have no idea why some fishes color up and others don't. In the case of this fish I don't really care. I moved all the silver fish out and he is eating alot more and starting to bulk up nicely. Seems happy and healthy, that's my main concern.
