Scombs don't top out at a foot. They get huge in the wild. They DIE at or before a foot.Made me upset raising two lil fellers from 2 inches to around 7 then having them both just up and die for no apparent reason.

really.. they just die for no apperant reason? what the heck why? do TaT's do the same? how can i prevent this i know armatus dont but i dont have the tank to house one.

Do a search on the forum. There is a lot of pics and info. You have a Scomb. Easy to tell apart from any other Payara. Tats and Armatus can be a lil more tricky to the un-trained eye. There is a good thread here on the diff between Armatus and Scomb...

Not that I know of. As far as I know, they are 100% freshwater
