ATt i would say yes but a 75g be better.. but you could pull it off for a while if its just them.

what tells a Tat apart from other payra? ive heard tails redder or something like that?

yes.
tats are very easy to tell apart from scombs.
theyre more robust looking,
the spot behind the gill is more cresent shaped.
they have red tail and the tail arent so round.
also,the adipose fin is red.

largest recorded in home aquaria is 18 inches.

I just threw a scomb about 3.5" in my 120gallon w/ my gar...hopefully he's qucik.
