Too late, a LFS by me intentionally removes the eyes of goldfish (not sure which species... the big ones with the long fancy tails) to sell them as "blind goldfish" to go with the "blind cave tetras". They also chop the body and fins of a lot of their cichlids and cats to create weird shapes and designs. (actually, I'm not sure the LFS does it themselves or just buys them that way, but its being done somewhere).

Yep, completely removed and allowed to heal over. They have no eyes... it's disturbing. ...and they're popular buys which makes it worse, ugh.
