The japanese style is not called horiyoshi,the name horiyoshi come from the the term horis which means master yoshi is his family name so combined it is horiyoshi, so horiyoshi lll is just the third generation taught by the horis(master) of the yoshi family.
the original term for the style is ukiyo-e(edo period 1603-1868)

Many artists experiment with combining different styles together, such as japanese tattooing with more "new-school" techniques of layout and coloring, like the girl who posted pictures of her flowers and stuff. That is not traditional japanese tattooing...
