So I'm gonna purchase one soon bit having trouble finding one at a decent price if any of you kno a good reliable website where I can get one please share :)

Right now bigappleherps has them for 190

And also any tips from experience u could give me that care sheets don't covered would be awesome!

Thanks for your time

Well I would normally recommend buying from a breeder Bobby Hill to be exact(varnyardherps.com) but I don't know if he has any left. What do you want to know specifically?

As far as genders go... I have read that females can be a little more moody when maturing but other than that it won't matter what sex you get.

i checked varnyard there taking deposits for next clutch but there out atm

what exactly do you feed your tegus... from what i have read they said stuff like ground turkey, eggs, and also rodents. but there digestive system cant handle alot of fur...

and my fiance would like to kno how they get along with other animals like cats and dogs

I would not leave them alone with cats or dogs but I have seen them get along. I would worry about the tegus well being around a large dog or cat. Make sure your pets are well trained. If the dog or cat is very small it could become badly injured. Use your best judgement. Tegus eat a HUGE list of things I could not possible list them all. As babies they eat meat strictly but as the get older some individuals will take to veggies and fruit.

My tegu for example eats... Bobby Hill's ground turkey mixture(basically 1 tbsp of cod liver oil per pound of ground turkey), beef liver, beef hearts, chichken gizzrds, chicken hearts, the odd cichlid, tuna, salmon, chicken breast/thighs, lamb, superworms, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, eggs, apples, plums, squash, cherries, and grapes of the top of my head. Most people also feed rodents but it is not readily available in my area so I do not use it.

ok so i found a website called reptilecity.com and they have some has anyone ever bought and reps from them?

well i went with bigappleherps.com it was more expensive but they seem to be more reputable anyways he should be here tommorow =]
