Tegu info needed

I'm quite shocked I will never do business with these people they are very rude and unprofessional

I mean who calls there customers heartless and a low life.
Bc I suggested that they shouldn't offer reptiles they don't have in stock I mean they let me submit my info and my credit card. An then they tried to sell me something else instead ugh.

And on top of all that they shared my info with all there staff according to one email. Won't be surprised if a suspicious charge gets places on my account.

What a nightmare!
 
Always try to go with a breeder. There are a few out there and it will spare you the drama. You should contact Bobby Hill he might have some tegus like reds or all americans in stock for you. They will be a little more expensive but you will get a quality animal. Sorry you have to deal with that. I never try to order live animals from places like that.
 
well i managed to order a tegu from varnyard. they only had 2 available and they were both extreme giants so i quickly ordered one. he should be here next wednesday! no more games wooohoo lol. i paid ALOT more than i intended to spend but owell hopefully it will be worth it
 
anyways his encloser is going to be 8x4 underneath a stairway. it has a big viewing are 5x6 to be exact, rightn now its really ugly so i think it will add an add pleasure to our little area, once finished. as far as there hibernation what am i to expect from that,i have never owned a animal that has that behavior.

I got my '08 male Arg B&W from Bobby Hill and am 100% satisified with the animal I purchased as well as the buying process from Bobby. While there are a few recommendable Tegu breeders out there, Bobby will always be my first recomendation when it comes to Tegus...

Young Tegus are ravenous and will eat just about any meat . Older Tegus are oppertunistic feeders by nature and are not picky as pets. I have always given mine a decent variety, though as a juvenal he ate mostly Ground Turkey and as an adult eats mostly whole prey (mice, rats, chicks or fish).

I would encourage anyone to have the utmost care and concern when allowing different species of animals to interact. But that being said, I've taken my Tegu to visit my parents home several times and he did just fine around their three dogs. The Tegu showed them no fear nor aggression, the big dogs just avoided the Tegu and the little god followed him and stared in fear... and that is the behavior that worries me... Just don't drop your guard too quickly just because they are tolerant of each other at first.

Tegus are great... IF (big if) you have the space to spoil them....
 
She will be raised around our 2 dogs and cat so hopefully she won't see them as a prey item lol. I will give her the option to free roam the house when I'm home. So she will have ample.

I was curious to if you guys have your tegus potty trained or do they just go where ever they please haha
 
I have seen several people claim to have their Tegu potty trained, but I do not believe one ounce of it...

Reptiles, like most animals, are smart enough to relieve themselves in an area that does not inconvenience them. As an example, my Tegu will not relieve himself in his enclosure. But he has no problem leaving a pile anywhere in the house while free roaming. I've also learned that a warm bath will usually push him to relieve himself. So I put all that together and developed a routine. Before free roaming I put my Tegu in the bath tub for a few minutes until he relieves himself, then I dry him off and let him roam the house...

but if you feel you can put some paper in a corner and teach him to relieve himself on that paper... I feel you are setting yourself up for constant failure...
 
Well yet another delay Gota wait until next Tuesday to get my tegu :( was suppose to get it tm.

well its monday night no tracking no answered email no phone calls for delays... TBH idk if its coming or not, have no clue -.-... looks like i probably wont be getting it tuesday either... when you guys bought from this guy did he leave you in the dark like hes doing me?
