Oh snap. Game over. What do we have here. Now those look quite nice, and Im willing to bet theyre even nicer in person. I think motion really brings out the gold shine and pics only catch a glimpse of it. Those are the nicest I've seen, and a breeding pair to boot. Is their offspring viable, do they throw little gold fry, and do you ever sell/ship babies? Just gorgeous fish, congratulations on achieving somewhat of an Oscar holy grail.
There really isn't much to tell about them. They are a man made strain line bred for a gold/yellow color. They are no different than a red oscar, a tiger oscar, a platinum oscar or a long finned oscar as far as their development goes. You either like them or you don't. Just google "Lemon Oscar" there are pictures of them all over the place.
Thats the thing, I had seen them online before, but it wasnt until I saw one in person that I realized how much their color popped. And that bright gold color, he looked like some kind of sacred lucky fish, like a prize koi or something, just much more impressive than what I had seen online. Until I saw oddball's amazing lemon pair just now, so this thread was very necessary and worthwhile to me.
