2.5' tall.
It was a big jump to go 3' tall, looking back now i wish i had did it however i'm having two new tanks and i've choose to go 2.5' tall again, the price just rockets for that 6" but it's a good 6".
One day i'l pay the price.
My water change method is very difficult due to the size of the tank, about a year ago i fitted a HMA filter behind the fridge and had to clip some pipe along the kitchen ceiling into the conservatory, after doing this i had to bring it across the top of the tank so the water would flow into the tank.
When the guys built the tank they left me a sump behind with a hole in the top, i had to push some PVC pipe into it flowing to the drain, about 6 months ago i had to change the cartridge on the HMA filter.
Dreadful it is, as it's now summer, sometimes it gets a little warm and i turn the flow up full blast and it will change the tank approximately 100% in 24 hours.
Not bad is it?
Filtration is just as straight forward, sump, 3 chambers, 1st is two layers of jap matting with a newly installed layer of filter wool underneath which is clogging after 1 weeks worth of use so i better fish that out tomorrow before my sump floods.
Middle chamber is the insides of some canisters i had a year ago, some pot scrubbies and a load of ceramic bricks i've acquired since setting up the tank, currently maturing media for my new tanks.
This sump also houses a 14" Tig until i get these new tanks set up.
