This is my 4" Chocolate the day after I bought him about 2 months ago. He is just over 6" now and has bulked up a lot since I've gotten him. I've been trying to find the right name for him but cannot. I only know the name should have something to do with being a PIG. He's in a tank in my bedroom and every time I walk past him, he comes over and does a little side to side dance near the surface while looking directly at me. He's rubbed up against me during water changes and even gave a finger a taste lol. By far, this is my most favorite fish personality. I also have a small loach and a pleco in the tank, both of which he does not bother at all. I've thrown 5 small algae tabs in for the pleco and loach and had the Chocolate snag all 5 on the way down tho. This fish seems to have a bottomless stomach. Sorry for the rambling, it's late and I'm tired, here's the fish-

He still gets this really bright orange color to this day, not often, it's usually the darker red and green. But I love the bright orange he is able to turn. Also paid $50 usd for him (high in my opinion), but it was the best $50 I've spent in the hobby.

Nice fish!!! but 50.00??? wow that was a little pricey. i picked up 5 juvies for 15.00 at my lfs!!!

I got mine at about 3" or so and it was $36. Nicer cichlids are pretty expensive in my area, but if you consider that mail order fish usually come with a high shipping cost, it basically evens out.

here on canada we get lots of variety and good prices
