I'm getting a tems pretty soon, and I was just wandering how fast they grow. Right now he will be housed in a 100 gal. but later moved to a 180 gal.

after the 180 what are you going to put it in? you would need atleast a 300 a 5x4 acrylic would be a good lookin tank for them.

In the past I have grown temensis from ~3 inches to over 14 inches in one year. And that was without much effort. My new group is already growing fast and furious!!!

what were u feeding them, steroids? i gotta know the secret to make mine grow that fast

I plan on getting some Temensis also, what size tank would be ideal? I plan on getting three juvies, aproximately 3" in size. I'm going to start them out in a 75 (48" x 18"). Then probably moving them to either a 180 or 220 (72" x 24"). From there I'm not sure what size tank, I was thinking maybe an 8' x 3' tank? What is a realistic max. length for Temensis?

Your initial plans are good. As for real size after a few years....you're looking at 24-26 inches. After they hit about 16" (1.5 yrs) they slow down dramatically.
