Tenecor Nightmare

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a Tenecor tank for a couple years now and it looks like one of the bottom seams has something wrong with it like its separating. I was going to call them and ask for some technical advice, but after reading this thread, it looks like I'm screwed. I wouldnt even know how to repair without breaking down tank if thats the case.

Unfortunately for you, Jose is 100% correct ..... with FOB terms, once the item leaves the vendor's dock it's no longer their responsibility. It's the responsibility, and liability, of the shipper and the buyer. The only grey area is if you could prove that the vendor knowingly shipped a defective product, which in this case will be near impossible to do. Your only recourse now is through the shipper, and by not inspecting prior to signing off on the shipment that option isn't looking too good either.

Good luck.

sold the tank already. dont really care about the money i lost on this tank. this thread is just to let everyone know out there that do not order from Tenecor!

i will have another 300 gallon build thread when my new tank arrives in a few weeks!!!

Sorry about all the issues you have had, I also am looking into upgrading to a larger tank and I am glad that you did this the bottom line its a lot of money either way you look at it. Not sure If anyone has asked this yet as I skimmed through the thread (shame on me) ;). So where did you order the new tank from?

Well, you all don't have to worry about it now... Tenecor is out of business. I had ordered a tank with them and prepaid (using a credit card thankfully) amost $5k. Well, 12 weeks go by (they said 8 to 12 week build time) and no word from them so I called. Surprising that the phone number was not in service. Look up the webisite again and find a nice message that they have closed their doors. If I had paid by TT or other means, i would be out all of the money. Luckily the credit card company will reimburse the money and take up the dispute with Tenecor (or what is left of them). Funny thing is they listed the number on their website to take up any concerns regarding claims, orders, or items in the factory. I called the number and it was their landlord. He's like, "I have nothing to do with Tenecor and am not responsible for the disposal of their assets". He gave me the owner's contact information. I may call, or I may let the credit card company do it's best to make life miserable for them. I can't believe they just took the money and ran... crazy. No calls, no nothing. They had my order and payment for over 10 weeks before closing. Hell, the tank may be just sititng there in their factory.

What is my best bet for a new acrylic tank... any suggestions? i'm on the east cost.

they are working on my new tank since tenecor sent me a broken one lol. 300 gal and should be arriving in vancouver bc canada in the end of next week! so im sure shipping to you is not a problem.

look for brian or neal. they have been great. great communication throughout the build so far. now just waiting for the tank.

sorry to hear tenecor didnt deliver your tank. im glad you paid by credit card and will get a refund though. that was my mistake. the sales rep insisted on TT so i did. i didnt think of it too much at that time since ive ordered through them before and they delivered. when i got my tank delivered and the found the chip, i regret purchasing from them. im glad their doors are closed for good!!!!!!!!!!!!
