What I would do is just give it a plywood bottom and back and use the glass for front and sides. Do you still have the glass?

aint read all of this thread but i thought a good few supports on this project and mabe some extra tthickness on the glass might have sorted this probem out................. just a thought, im pretty mashed at the mo so dont take me too seriously
