Tetra Nitraban

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
even if this stuff DID work for no water changes for 6 months (i don't believe it), if you're tank is like mine, you would need to add water anyways cuz the water level would evaporate by about 25 percent. Water changes are great because you may notice things previously overlooked as you clean the substrate.

Vey true. When my tanks get below the rim it's time for a change. I vac every other week. I have found when water stinks, something is wrong. Dead fish, etc. I realize modern tech is helping the hobby, but I'm not conviced this is one.

I think this stuff is just like Purple-UP... it works on the placebo effect.

As I said before, this stuff has been helpful to me in the past. 6 months w/out a water change is crap, though. Again, it may buy you a week or two. Good for vacations.

Search through your storage area, find any water conditioner that says "Tetra" on it, and throw it away. Some of their fine products include: Snake oil, Unicorn DNA, pixie dust, Bio-spira, Stress Zyme, Rabbit's feet, etc. You'd be better off praying for cleaner water, or you could just do some water changes.

Aqua safe is the exception IMO. They earned so much money on their rabbit feet, fairy dust , and snake oil they bought out a very reputable scientists formula. So yea aqua safe may be good. (Although I stick with exclusively seachem products their stability really works magic.)

Is that not just a water conditioner? How many gallons does 5 ml treat? Prime treats 50 gallons with 5 ml. Aquasafe works, but I don't think it has the same concentrated effects.
