Yep maybe it can be that, but do they take so long to digest it? I try to feed him on the morning and in the end of the day but he only eats on the morning and only eats on the other day.

Picked up this 13 incher for $100 from a LFS. It looks pretty beat up from the LFS. Can't wait for it to heal and color up. LFS says it was a trade-in.

The wearing/damage on the membrane around the mouth area is common when tranferred in a bag or held in a bucket. Upper Jaws get that a lot when new. Heals up in about 4-7 days.

Hello guys just to update, my teug is now with probably +/- 8.3inch. And you were right he loves the shrimp now.Hello guys, just to update, he has grow quite a bit now.
Hey guys, just stumbled on this thread, thought I'd share my teug. It's still small, I'm guessing 3 inches. How long before I can add it to my main tank? I have 5 inch datnoids in them.
I don't know anything about dats so have no idea how big your teug needs to be but can say with clean water and a good diet teugs grow pretty fast. Mine is one of the fastest growing Polys I've owned
as jaws said clean water and good food and teugs shoot up in size when mine was that size she was putting on 1" a week. I would feed tilapia it is bichir miracle grow
