Teugelsi growout?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The teug I had was about 2". It grew to 13-14" a little over a year. It was such a skinny fella in the beginning. Hikari gold and tilapia was diet. Housed with mostly lower jaws, and ate moderately.

Very nice, thank you :)

Going shopping for pellets tomorrow and will take a look at the Hikari Gold while there. So far he's been taking a tilapia /bloodworm mix that I feed to newcomers to get them eating.

I'll try and get some pics when I get home. The feeder tank has pretty tinted water from conditioning my driftwood in it, never an issue for the feeders and i dont think the baby polys will mind a slight tint

I've had dark water from new DW in the past. Never seemed to bother them a bit...

Pics would be great!

Both little guys are hiding behind the sponge filter will get pics uploaded as soon as possible. Yours would eat mine! I think the teugelsi might be pushing 1.25" and the other guy maybe 1.5" they look tiny next to my molly breeders

Stop!! You guys are making me want another teug and I'm already sleeping on the couch for the endli's i just bought! haha
Get another teug and you sleep in the floor, get two more polys the you sleep in the garage, thats why i put my tank in the garage, lolz
But dont get two more polys or else you sleep in the car:D

People here say generally 1/2 to 1 inch per month for baby polys, and mine have followed that rule.

As for the kuhlis, it depends on the individual fish. My prior Palmas ate a few, yet my Delhezi (who was the same length, 6") did not.

ETA: my kuhlis are/were like 6 years old so they are huge for kuhlis.

Yeah mine were dwarf black kuhlis so really tiny guys. I tried getting some pics this morning of the new polys and wasn't able to get any decent body shots of them. Just beady little eyes reflecting back at me in a dark tank
