These 2 have been sharing a tank for 3 days. The carpintis killed the YH's father last year. It's gotten to the point I can't keep him with anything but a female Festae. I just got a male festae for her so the tex had to move out. I had been trying to sell the tex just cause he wouldn't play nice, but I rearranged a few tanks and I think I can keep him now. He was 7 7/8" last time I measured.

The YH was living with a larger Jag and was forced to hide in the plants all the time so I decided to divide this tank so he wouldn't have to hide and I could see him. I love his teeth! I just noticed when he went in this tank that his mouth is full of them, not just the front fangs. The texas will hide all the time if he's alone so having them together keeps him out where I can see him too. I think I have some video of them dancing against the grate. The tex has been digging and spitting sand at the YH. I'll check tonight when I get home.

excellent shots!

x2, these shots really show cichlids doing what cichlids do, very cool.

I enjoy shots like these a lot.

And for some reason, I really dig the egg crate.
