Texas blue cichlid and Largemouth bass?????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
with a 7" AND 6" fish in a 10g you are already going to have major stunting they need to be in a bigger tank like yesterday or need to be doing 75% wc every day to prevent stunting, also for a full grown large mouth bass you are going to need at least a 150g like someone posted before one he caught was 22in and less than 5lbs and biggest they can get is 10lbs so thats a pretty huge fish i would go ahead and get a bigger tank than a 65 if you can afford it at the moment because they will soon grow out of the 65 as well and you dont want to really waste your money on it but if thats all you can afford for now then go ahead and get it so they can have some room

Im glad you are interested in this, but doesnt this post seem odd. 5 pound fish, you serious? How could you catch a fish from a river or wherever and put them into a f'n 10 gallon. Im in a crabby mood but ppl like you just piss me off. Dont do any research, catch fish, have unrealistic expectations, dont know how to feed, youll probably release them back, etc.

I had a 15" LM bass in a 125 with sunfish and yellow perch and it worked out well. Tank got very dirty quick. It was a ton of work with multiple water changes per week.

They also were expensive to feed. They are pigs. Fed shiners and worms from bait store. Also pellets and krill. They ate pretty much anything.

I eventually released him at 2 pounds or so.

Please get them out of that 10 gal tank ASAP.

even the upgrade mentioned won't be sufficient is huge growth is the goal...and that is not considering the very likely stunting that can occur being kept in the 10 gal

Eventually the Bass will eat the cichlid-Texas usually max out at 10-12 inches if male-Big Mouths get to atleast 2 feet!

yo, Irishfan . im about 15 years old and i've been doing more research then u can fathom. OK?????? so can u just mind ur damn business and don't tell my wat im doing wrong and wat im doing right OK????
