Texas blue cichlid and Largemouth bass?????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You want a 5 pound fish, yet you feed it only goldfish, which if you did any basic research at all, you would know is not a good idea.
You have 2 fish, who used to swim free with no boundaries crammed into a 10 gallon tank. Thats just awesome. You dont know what to feed or how large the bass could grow to as many pointed out. Your small tank, and the new one, 60 is still small, wont be enough. Research would have pointed that out to you.
But hey, at 15 we all know everything. Dont be so quick to be a dick, lotta ppl gave you sound help and advice. I too should have changed my tone in my previous post, but I do not apologize. Your response to me further proved my point. And your questions proved you did not do proper research.

OOO also, 15 yr olds...doing more research than I can fathom huh? You're right, son, I cant even begin to imagine the google searches you performed.

Also, youve had the bass in a 10 gal for 6 months now...this research could have been done a long time ago. I dont mean to attack you, I am just an animal lover and do not agree with what you are doing at all. Good luck, maybe let that guy go huh

yo, Irishfan . im about 15 years old and i've been doing more research then u can fathom. OK?????? so can u just mind ur damn business and don't tell my wat im doing wrong and wat im doing right OK????

I just couldn't resist !!!! If you are going to post something on a forum and ask for advice, why would you tell someone to mind their own business??? And no offense, but by you asking these questions just proves that your so called "research" has been extremely ineffective. Good luck on figuring out your situation though. I would give you advice but apparently you are not looking for any help! :D:D

I had a 15" LM bass in a 125 with sunfish and yellow perch and it worked out well. Tank got very dirty quick. It was a ton of work with multiple water changes per week.

They also were expensive to feed. They are pigs. Fed shiners and worms from bait store. Also pellets and krill. They ate pretty much anything.

I eventually released him at 2 pounds or so.

Please get them out of that 10 gal tank ASAP.

...Bill

please dont release a captive fish... when you release it there is a chance of spreading new diseases into the lakes/rivers... if you dont want a fish try to find another home (not lakes/rivers) for it or euthanize it..

15 yo.. your never gonna grow a 5 lb bass... ive only caught a handful of 5+ lbrs and ive been fishing all my life.. this is with a fish living in a HUGE lake compared to a measly tank.

Just echoing whats been said really but to be honest if you had done any research at all, you would know that it is an utterly ridiculous idea to catch such beautiful fish and put them into a 10 gallon tank. They deserve better than that and to then insult
someone who you asked for help from.

What was your research material, finding Nemo? Sorry it was so tempting

i've done so much research, and all i wanted to do is see if anybody done this before , take a bass and make a habiat tht it thrives in and will grow to tht size. I all ready know tht this bass is probly only grow to bout 12-15 inch's if im lucky. but for a person to tell me that wat im doing is wrong screw tht. and im going to try more bass in way bigger tanks (700+ gals) and see if i get the results im looking for. Im asking for productive advice , and not dumb ass comments . so if ur going to post any thing tht will help me , please do so. If not , don't

What you are doing is wrong. The fish are already too big for your 10 gallon tank. Id ask you to take your head out of your ass so you could hear better, but then youd be spewing from both ends.

Neither of those fish can grow or survive in a 10 gallon. You havent done any viable research or youd already know that.

Now, eat your flintstones vitamins and wheaties before you come on here trying to act like a know it all. Youre at the bottom of the food chain here, trying to say youve researched everything, yet still keeping your bass and cyanoguttatus (blue texas? wrong label too) in a 10 gallon tank.
