Could be water quality killing them.

water quality...lol when the fish is getting slammed against the glass and dragging the fish into it's cave... yea must be water... my whole life i have never had any diseases in my tank or on my fish(knock on wood) ph whent low when put in big drift wood but fixed that since i was checking daily with crushed coral.. my water always stays clean bro.... hope you were sarcastic.

anways she and the pleco are going in a 150 gallon (guy selling it as 140 but i im almost positive its 150(ill measure it)) this month. so i'll buy another convict and some other fish... the 75 will become salt water... know this is older but thanks for all your thoughts(except water change dude...)

Since you have a larger tank you could try a large male Tex with her. That would look pretty good with a few loaches or large barbs. But no one likes to come home to dead or dying fish so I understand if you want to keep her alone.

I think the 150 will be good size for her and i'm going to buy some other SA fish.... give them all hiding spots... (thought about getting dwarf snakehead but i want to keep tank true to continent)

if you have a rubbermaid lying around maybe take her out of the tank, and leave her in the rubber maid for a day or so, as if you were moving her. make sure it's filtered and heated of course! and then add the new fish first into the tank like an hr. or two, make sure to rearrange the tank enough so that it's almost like brand new, even adding pvc pipes, clay pots, and stuff for territorial purposes, then add her last. No promises though just an idea/trick that may work for your situation. Goodluck!

yea thanks guys. i originally did that with my 75(talking to ballist3k) and put a midas bigger than her(returned to pet store multiple times paid 10 bucks..lol) and it was game over in like a couple days... but like they said in beginning get bigger tank...

*after another post on this site i made and research i think my fish is a FH(flowerhorn)
im scared now too because i just read up on an 11'' FH kicking the crap out of 2 2 foot arrowanas and some other fish in a 200 gallon tank.. never knew how aggressive these fish are.. mine has the black markings like a dovii too and i know the FH is a hybrid of multiple fish(mine was sold as texas)

pic is couple weeks old, i have been feeding her way more and she definitely gotten a little bigger and fuller.. she got teeth too... i sometimes put my finger in the tank messin around to show people how crazy she is.... well did it last week and i started bleeding.. not doing that anymore...
