Werd.... You may never know what your going to get with SA/CA cichlids but you get somthing like a cyno/RD/Trimac and put it in with JD's/GT's/Oscars/cons you can bet money the glass banger is going to say "my house now!" and make somone his "girlfriend" real quick.
haha yeah that's for sure lol

yeah but those fish are already way to big for your 55g and just so you know your going to have to re-home that FH or get it a tank of its own sooner rather than later, its a very rare FH that will tolerate tankmates when it is mature

all of your larger growing cichlids need to go into the 125 and leave the 55g for the smaller growing ones since pretty much all of your larger ones would outgrow a 55 or need it to themselves, except for maybe the JD.... but i will say its good that you are getting the larger tank though your fish will thank you for it but please just remember from now on to have the tank first BEFORE you get the fish

I've have my 10'' FH with a midas, JD, Green Terror, a few plecos, and a frontosa. It all depends on the fish your dealing with and there temperament.

i didnt say it was impossible to keep FH with other cichlids, just that it was extremely uncommon, you must have gotten lucky with yours and yes individual temperaments do vary of course but overall you can expect certain species to act a certain way and overall, usually FH dont tolerate tankmates once mature. if OP is lucky and his FH doesnt turn psycho then great for him but i just wanted to prepare him for the more than likely outcome that it will have to be housed alone (i don't personally keep flowerhorn though, so this is all second-hand experiences from friends and people on here)

I have a pretty good feeling that my FH will be able to live with my Jag unless my Jag has another one of his rampages, Then it's bye-bye Flowerhorn.

That's a great idea! I'm going to stock up on some new food and get some more p.h balancer at petsmart today

You dont need that for your cichlids, they will adapt to just about any PH. A stable PH is much better than one that goes up and down.

It helps anyway, Seems to make them more active.
