Love all the photos everyone is sharing!!! I have three juvenile Carpintis sp Escondido right now, just under two inches. Got them end of October and theyve grown about 1/2-3/4" already. Hoping to see a real growth spurt when they change tanks. Had to keep them in a ten gallon QT because I was afraid they may end up eaten by my catfish.

What kind of growth rate is typical with these guys?
 
Missmaddylyn...my fish was spawning at a small size and now that it is no longer the case is growing faster..like at least 1/2 inch in approx 30 days and also gaining body mass...don't know if that is more or less typical...mine also appears as identified by another member to be carpinte lahille.....Escondidos are great variant good luck with yours...hope they can be seen on this thread...
