I have never had a Texas but my Jag is growing like its eating fertilizer:clap . He's awesome to watch hunt down rosie reds too.:headbang2

I would feel bad keeping a full grown (male) Jag in a 75, so I say texas.

That being said, I like Jags better.

I wouldn't deticate a 75 Gallon to a Texas........Also rally is right (Male)Jags will get to cramped in a 75 Gallon..........If you want a solo fish for a 75 go with a Midas/RD,Trimac,FlowerHorn.............

We currently have both Tex and Jags, although our Tex isn't full grown yet she is showing a great personalityso I'm a big fan of Texas, Our Jags are great they are actually our wife's fish and are really fun to watch eat feeders, over the weekend I fed them some large comets and the male inhaled 1 and I heard a pop and blood flew out of the Jags gills, and the female sucked in 2 comets and I could see them both in her mouth for 20 minutes, I should have gotten a pic but wasn't thinking, so anyway my thought is you can't really go wrong with either but I prefer the Jags just a bit more.

I also agree with rallysman that a full grown jag (male especially) will be cramped in a 75. so that being said, I'd go with a pair of carpintis 'escondido'. this species is very close to a texas but is much more beautiful imo.
