What Big_One is saying is just because your fish spawn doesn't mean your male is sexually mature to fertilize the eggs. I have noticed that males will want to breed before they are ready.

Indeed that is true and agreed but Im pretty sure he's been successful, a lot of these fish are older then they look because they are stunted from small tank space and underfeeding we shall know in a day or two if they turn white

I know who Julie got those fish from, trust me they are not stunted at all. In fact, I'm related to Julie's husband myself. They are about 3 months old if I can remember correctly. If that male fertilize the eggs, then he has some seriously strong ZZ blood in him(which will explain the trailers - and I'm sure there is ZZ blood in there somewhere). On the other hand, a male ZZ will spawn successfully at about 3 inches from tip to tip. Good luck and hopefully it doesn't turn white on you...
