Honestly your the only one dancing around everyone else's thoughts and logic. We've all already acknowledged your thoughts and logic and given our own but you refuse to see it in any way other then your own. Also your the one who originally brought up the topic of hippies calling them and me non-decent human beings. Also how is the hippy culture a counter culture? Well if you were french coq would be pronounced like coke.
But in English like you pointed out Aquatic Aggression it would most definitely be cock just like it's spelled. I'm not sure how kok is pronounced tbh. I'd guess cock also.....

Either way it requires no homosexual bashing or degrading speeches on 60s culture. It's is a proper terminology. And I am sorry if my sense of humor is off putting to you. I apologise for making a joke. I know fish keeping is only serious and no fun may be had.

Honestly it's the same situation as the word tomato or potato. Toe-mate-o?, toe-mah-toe? Po-tate-o?, Po-tah-toe? Everyone pronounced things differently.
