Well, Bobby, all these photos so far have been quite intimidating, but here goes:

Editing my choice, forgot I still had this one, and yes, Jay, the glass was dirty, so had to use
"digital windex" (scratch remover PSP9) to get rid of it. This was taken deep in the tank, and
the only one I have with good dorsal and ventral flaring. And still looks like a painting:-(

As you can see, mine isn't a fish. It's a greater bamboo lemur at Edinburgh zoo. I've chosen it because when I closed my eyes and asked myself which picture I liked the most - this was the one that I remembered first.

I like the direct simplicity of the photo. I like the strangeness of creature - it is a very rare and unusual animal, which demands our respect.

lol. it's actually from this little tent thing the kids were playing on. the plastic rods are halves that are held together by some sort of elastic black line - which you see pictured above

my "picture of the year" can only be an aquatic one, because this stuff became more than a hobby to me during the last months. The choice was not that easy like others reported before, but in the end it was clear
I decided against technical perfection (as far as i am able) in favour of character.

Alan, I sort of picked my Clown Loaches shot the same way. When ever I thnk of my favorite shot, The Three Stooges come to my mind first.
