Thanks House, for the fish, awesome job shipping them, all alive and already looking for food.:nilly:

One question, would it be alright to throw the two groups together? One batch is significantly smaller than the other, though no smaller than the smallest one of the Motas. Will they be alright? Or should I grow them up a little in a separate tank before tossing them in with the Motas in the 55 gallon grow out?

Here are some pics:

Lol, sorry, I know they're really bad shots. XD But they're so tiny, can't see them.

And to those who are wondering, I bought some baby wolf cichlids and red tiger motas from House. Thanks a lot man, appreciate it.:D:headbang2

Here's a full shot.

Don't worry, I threw the jag and vieja into the pond, they're big enough to hold their own now.

Edit: I bought the Motas, but he gave me the dovii fry for free. :o Awesome guy. :)

very nice man, how big actually are they, id put them together and see how it goes if you can leave them together do it, if not then dont:D

I just want to thank you for not turning this into another, "guess what's in the box" threads!

Nice pick ups! Post some pics when you get them settled in!

Lol, I was thinking of doing that.

But they're so small, even if I took a picture of them and posted it, you still wouldn't be able to guess. :nilly:

The smallest is only around .33", the largest is around .5", lol. They are still fry basically, trying to carefully adjust them to the tank water in their bags because I imagine that fry are a whole lot less hardy than larger fish.

I don't wanna lose any of them, lol.

in need of better pics

LOL:)
Lol, and a better camera, but I'll try to take pics of them when I let them into the tank, they're already trying to swim at me, looking for food.:headbang2

Oh yeah, do you think that the cories might try to make snacks out of them at night? I'll take them out for now, just in case, at least until they put on a little bit of size. Cory's are catfish after all. XP

how big are the cory's? id be worried about them, remove them like you said:)

They're about 2" and big enough to eat one of the fry. I know cause I saw them eat some worms that I had thrown in for the 4" jag.:nilly: I was surprised that they had mouths big enough for that. But yeah, I just took them out right now and tossed them into the 10 gallon planted tank with the betta.

Nice purchase. I was going to get some motas from house too, but my brother didn't want it for his 100+ gallons. I want the motas too, but my tanks won't do. Hope one of the fry turns out just like house's male.

theyll grow quick gl keep us updated.
