Thanks. It's a fake vine fern thing. The thing that seemed to clear him up and get him eating was a few rounds of Clout--harsh med I'm hesitant to recommend, but effective. When he started eating I put Epsom salt in his food.

No clue honestly. Quarantine tank. As soon as treatment was over, fish moved and tank bleached out.

Quick update, I didn't have anyone to top off my 225's sump when I went on Christmas vacation, so I just gave the jags and xilos to fishnvw up in Washington, as I know he's a great fishkeeper and they fit right into some biotopes he already had. Here is a much better pic of the jag under his fluorescent lighting once he got up there and got settled for a couple days, my pics were under a dim single LED with tannin stained water and bad flash:
