AU_Arowana-RG;3109392; said:You've got one nice Endlicheri (If I'm correct). They get big, so you don't have much to worry about in terms of size. Wild lengths reach 34-38 inches. Captive lengths may be a little less. Again, I'm not sure and I'm hoping that any of the true bichirholics come to my aid in this ID matter.
Regardless, I honestly think that more bichirs would look nice.![]()

hahah thanks for the advice man...yeh seems to make perfect sense...i prefer pellets to crickets tho cuz its easier to stock up on pellets so i dun need to go to the shop much. plus crickets r messy and they stink!!ctoychik;3110972;3110972 said:hehehehe thanx. Their primary diet is frozen crikets (from the farm). Frogs. Market prawn. Hikari pellets as standby. If i were to guess, crickets are super high in protein so that could be the answer. the silver aros has grown quite significatly -they are about one year now from the puny juvi little worms. At some point i had to instruct maid to reduce feeding from everyday to everyother day cos i was afraid they would outgrow their 7' set-up too quickly + the filtration may not be up for it... even so, they have been growing very fast. Paimas grow quite fast on crickets as well. in less than a year i got them to more than 2' (though sadly as i said before 16C was too low for them outside)
RTC do not eat crickets. Marble does - it grows very fast.
Conclusion: no hormones - crickets is the way forward for super growth (or crickets with hormone?)

i get my massivores from hikari malaysia!ctoychik;3113761;3113761 said:Heheheheh - not live crickets of course: frozen. Buy them by kilo, 5 bucks per kilo of frozen crickets (farm raised). I actually experimenting with a cricket farm myself at the moment, but at the rate they seem to grow it does not seem feasible. I am yet to contact Hikari thailand for bulk buys ^^
