This is a comparison shot of the lighting with normal 40 watt t-12 bulbs and then when I replaced the with the 110 watt VHO bulbs

Hellow. Quite not bad. Very cool tank. I really like the tree but the underwater stone cottages that have built on the left side of the tank is some misunderstanding. But if you like such houses, why not. The tank has potential. You could opt for one particular habitat. Yours Damian.

Stone cottages???? Its just some rocks leaned up on another to create some hiding placed/ caves. hiding places are need in cichlid tanks to help with aggression. It helps stress the fish less if they have place to hide. and I thought it was pretty natural looking. The tank is set up to mock the bed of a African river or lake... which is there natural habitat.
