Stone cottages???? Its just some rocks leaned up on another to create some hiding placed/ caves. hiding places are need in cichlid tanks to help with aggression. It helps stress the fish less if they have place to hide. and I thought it was pretty natural looking. The tank is set up to mock the bed of a African river or lake... which is there natural habitat.

so I know that shelters are needed as a tank with cichlids. I once had a similar tank. However, in the wild, fish are rarely available for such a cave. I am a scuba diver and the water was over 1000 hours and never have I seen similar houses made of stone. Of course there are rock debris, but large stones falling down will not stop at the little that way. Fish that hide between the rocks, stones, even a small influence in a very narrow gap but no houses. Of course, if you liked this arrangement of stones is very good because the aquarium is the pleasure for the eyes, inter alia;)

I'm not too sure either, I can only identitfy my Mopani-cuz there's red on it & even though I also have bogwood-I can't even idientify that driftwood either.

That's an awesome layout you have though. I don't understand when ppl put many ornaments in a tank that size. What I've always believe is that for whoever has a 200gallon tank or bigger, should mostly have driftwood in it.

I OFFICIALLY dont like you!!! lmao! just kidding man, its completely jelous magnet material, im literally drueliing over my keys looking at your Eheim 2260, complete envy here man! but, great job and keep up the amazing work. also another thumbs up for the driftwood
